Hey Everyone, Great news!

It seems our hopes for a weekend free training session has finally come to pass.  On November 22nd we are going to be holding a free Code Camp for our members.  Starting at 9am we will have a short collective gathering to go over some of the events of the day and fill everyone in on some information.  We will then split off into two “tracks” the first track will be an administration/configuration track. The second will be a developer/architecture track.

We are currently gathering prominent speakers from around the area to provide good positive tutorials for everyone.  More details on the speakers, sponsors and the tracks will be available shortly. 

The most important part right now is to RSVP for the event. We are limited to 15-20 users in each lab at any given time. Since we will be running one lab for Dev and one lab for Admin, that means we can only take on 30-40 users for this entire event.  Since it is a free BSPUG user and a sponsored event we want to give all current members first priority. However, it must be made clear that starting November 17th we will be opening it up to the rest of the community to fill the slots. So please, if you are sure you will be attending, go to the events page and RSVP with the survey provided.
A small breakfast and catered lunch will be provided by Idera (www.idera.com), we thank them whole heartedly. We will also have a bunch of swag. Zunes, software, shirts and some possible additional door prizes provided by Microsoft!

So stop what you’re doing, check your calendar and make sure you’re available for November 22nd and GO RSVP! This will fill up VERY fast.

Side note:  A few days back all of you were sent user names and passwords.  To login to the site, if you go to www.baltimoresug.org at the top of the page just above “News” and to the left of the search box, you’ll see “Sign In”. Click that and enter the domain\username then the password you were given.

The first thing you should do is go back up to the top of the page where you signed in you’ll see “Welcome Changeme” if you click on that area and select “My Settings” you can change your name. Because of the nature of setting this up, we didn’t have all the names that went with the email addresses. So please do that so we don’t see a bunch of postings from “ChangeMe” that might be confusing :)
